DRE Mentoring - Share the Dream

The Archdiocese of Detroit has a DREAM for new Directors of Religious Education (DREs). Diocesan Committee for DRE Advocacy and Mentoring (DREAM) is a support program for new DREs supported by the Office for Faith Formation & Catechetics in the Archdiocese of Detroit.

The benefits for new DREs are numerous ...

  • Support fosters a sense of connectedness ...

  • A strong sense of role identity fosters confidence ...

  • Knowing where to turn for materials, resources and persons enriches ministry ...

  • Naming personal strengths and limitations encourages growth as well as the development of goals and strategies ...

DREAM will help new DREs nurture their gifts and talents in catechetical ministry, gain the skills and qualities necessary to be strong pastoral leaders in the church today and develop good discernment tools under the guidance of an experienced, certified DRE.
