Finding Your School Transcripts

To verify you attended or graduated from a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Detroit, you may request a transcript. Only the person whose name is on the transcript, or the parent of a minor child, may request a transcript. The transcripts are closed to research, including genealogical inquiries.

The Archives of the Archdiocese of Detroit has student transcripts from over 260 closed schools, both elementary and high school. To learn if we hold the records of the school you attended, check the list below:

If we have the records from a school, you may request copies of your transcript. There is a charge of $8 for the first copy of the transcript and $2 for each additional copy. The average processing time for transcripts is five to seven business days, not including mailing time.

Some schools that have closed did not transfer their student records to us. Check the list below for information on where those records can be located:

Replacement High School Diplomas

If the Archives Office can find a transcript that proves a person graduated from a Catholic high school, we will be happy to issue a replacement high school diploma. This will not be a duplicate of the original diploma, but a certified replacement copy. Only the person whose name was on the original diploma can request a replacement diploma. The charge for a replacement diploma is $25. Please print out and return the form below to the Archives Office if you wish to request a replacement diploma.

The Archives Office does not have information on former teachers or employees of Catholic Schools. Please contact the Catholic Schools office for information.
